From Errands to Intentions: My Spring Reset
Whether you call it a "Me Time" day or an intentional reset, there is something incredibly satisfying about aligning your physical space with your mental goals during the spring.
Recently, I took a day to finally tackle those lingering tasks that were collecting on my digital and paper task lists. It was a whirlwind of productivity—returning (ok, exchanging) shoes that didn't quite fit, picking up a gift for a dear friend’s baby shower, sorting through my collection of Orla Kiely bags, and gathering clothes for donation. Of course, I fit in a delicious solo lunch, too! I just love the high of crossing things off a list—I see you, fellow first-born ladies!
Beyond the errands, I dedicated a significant block of time to life goal planning. It’s a bit ironic; I’ve spent my career building strategic roadmaps in the corporate world, yet I realized I had never truly done it for my personal life.
Spring is the natural season for renewal, making it the perfect moment to look past the daily to-do list and invest in the "big picture." I spent time organizing my thoughts, mapping out my goals for the year, and breaking them down into achievable intentions. It wasn't just about being busy; it was about ensuring my daily actions actually support the life I want to lead.
By the time the errands were complete and my mental load was organized, I finally sat back and smiled. I felt lighter. Investing in that "Perfect Pause" to plan and declutter didn't just clear my schedule—it cleared my head.
Because you deserve more than just a break.
